STS Global Security is a full service security company that specializes in both personal and venue touring security. Personal protection typically entails the close-protection/ safety of the client while the venue security specialist is the liaison between the band and the local venue security. He advances all security for the tour with the local venue security staff. Which includes going over venue staffing plans and most importantly emergency evacuation plans while coordinating all aspects of tour security.
Our two owners, Seth Fromberg and Tom Robb both have over 30 years of experience in both of these areas and have worked with an extensive amount of clients all over the world.
Tom Robb
Tom started his security career in 1986 with the well known west coast security company "Gavin de Becker". Tom then formed an estate security company called Beverly Hills Life Assurance". Tom worked with off duty s.w.a.t. officers and police officers to provide 24/7 estate security in the Beverly hills area. Tom then became a west coast representative of "Vance security" a high end cooperate security company from the east coast to help introduce their philosophies to the celebrity driven west coast. Tom was introduced to the world of music security with the band "Live". Traveling over 20 countries 2 years, Tom knew it was a perfect fit to use his security background to upgrade and update some of the touring security philosophies.
Since then Tom has been in 78 countries with bands Metallica, Green Day, Linkin Park, System of a down, Creed, Live, Kanye West, Louis C.K., Amy Schumer, Matisyahu and more.
Tom also assists other bands security teams when available such as Guns N Roses and Dolly Parton. Tom proudly has been the Main Stage Security Director for Coachella for the last 7 years and worked with many of the biggest A list bands in recent years.
Seth Fromberg
Seth started his event security career in 1989 at 18 yrs of age in local venues in South Florida. Early in his career he worked with event security in Stadiums, Arenas, Theatre, and small clubs. Seth’s leadership and calm demeanor in extreme situations is one of his strongest assets. He has over 30 yrs experience in the music industry ranging from personal security to venue touring security all over the world. In 1992 he joined the Luther Campbell “2 Live Crew” tour performing in arenas, theatre, and nightclubs across the country. Seth then went on to provide tour security for the hardcore metal band “Collapsing Lungs” from 1994-1998.
Also, at this same time Seth started his powerlifting career winning many titles along the way with a World Championship in 2001. His last contest was a 1st place finish at the USAPL U.S. Open powerlifting Championships in 2011. Seth’s resume includes Linkin Park, Slipknot, Mariah Carey, Mary J Blige, Kanye West, Muse and several other artists. Seth is currently the Director of Security for Metallica.
